These are the 4 new cruise ships sailing the Caribbean this winter:
Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Viva
The Norwegian Viva just set sail on its maiden voyage. It will spend the remainder of the summer and the fall cruising the Mediterranean and Greek Isles before hopping across the world.
In December this brand-new ship will reposition to the Caribbean making San Juan its home port for the winter months.

Winter cruises on the Norwegian Viva will start and end from San Juan.
Cruisers can choose from two different itineraries with calls to Tortola on the British Virgin Islands, St. John’s on Antigua, Bridgetown Barbados, Castries St Lucia, Philipsburg on St. Maarten, and St. Thomas on the US Virgin Islands.
The Viva is the second Prima Class ship from Norwegian with a capacity of up to 3,219 passengers.
Guests will have 20 different decks to explore and can even ride a race track at sea.

Adrenaline seekers can jump onto 1 of the 2 free fall dry slides, and there are plenty of pools and water activities, including a tidal wave waterslide.
For those guests more comfortable out of the water, the Viva will also feature the first flying theatre simulator at sea.
Virgin Voyages, Brilliant Lady
Brilliant Lady is the 4th ship from Virgin Voyages, and when it launches at the end of the year it will have a capacity of 2,860 passengers.
From the end of December the Brilliant Lady will also make San Juan its home port and set sail around the Caribbean.
The sailing ports announced for this ship are San Juan, Tortola, Pointe-a-Pitre, Bridgetown, Castries, St. John’s, Oranjestad, Willemstad, Fort-de-France, and Basseterre.

Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Ascent
The newest ship from Celebrity Cruises is called Celebrity Ascent, and she is set to make her debut sailing later this year.
The ship will have a capacity of 3,260 passengers and will sail from Fort Lauderdale.
Cruise guests can choose from 7-night voyages around either the Eastern or the Western Caribbean. She’ll make her official maiden voyage on December 3, and this will be a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise.

The highlights of this ship include its luxurious outdoor sanctuary which has been named The Retreat and its Resort Deck which features an outdoor garden.
This ship has been specifically designed for sailing in the warmth of the Caribbean climate.
Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Jubilee
Finally, the ship with the earliest Caribbean arrival date on this list is the Carnival Jubilee.
The ship will make a transatlantic crossing at the end of October before arriving in its home port of Galveston. From there its first Caribbean cruise will sail from the middle of November.
The Carnival Jubilee will primarily focus on 7-night trips to the Western Caribbean. Port stops include Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay.

Prices start from $669 per person, based on two people staying in a room, making this a great mid-budget Caribbean cruise option.
Highlights of this ship include one of the only rollercoasters at sea and six distinct fun zones. Huge pool areas and exciting waterslides will add to the fun that is aimed at kids of all ages.
