Which hotels are the best in the world? This is a tough question to answer, but a new study has done the hard work for us and highlighted 12 of the best.
The French company La Liste has published a new ranking called Top 1,000 World’s Best Hotels.
The criteria to select the best hotels considers travelers’ reviews and ratings, travel guides, and information from many different publications.
Experts at La Liste analyzed over 5,000 hotels across 200 countries.
Other rankings like CNN’s top hotels consider and include different budgets in the equation, and Conde Nast Traveller’s list focuses on luxury resorts.
La Liste also takes into account sustainable projects and hospitality. The company has a similar system to rate restaurants across the globe as well.
But which is the best hotel in the world? The first hotel on the list is Belmont Hotel Cipriani, followed by three hotels tied in second place and eight tied in third place.
Considering the first three places, these are the 12 best hotels in the World according to La List, and here is what travelers should know about them:
1st Place: Belmond Hotel Cipriani
This beautiful hotel in Venice, Italy, got 99.75 points and is legendary.
