The Icelandic capital has always been one of Europe’s most underrated gems.
Digital nomads, however, are starting to see past the unwelcoming weather and high prices and figuring out that all in all, Reykjavik offers a lot of value for the money.
The city has scored high in every criterion used by Brother UK apart from the cost of living, be it quality of life, safety, or overall happiness levels.
For those traveling alone (which is the case for many digital nomads), Reykjavik is not only the ultimate safe haven but also an inherently fascinating destination whose unique blend of untouched views and state-of-the-art amenities will never leave you feeling bored or lacking.
4. Aalborg, Denmark
The next city to make it to the top 5 is arguably the biggest surprise on today’s list.
Aalborg, a mostly unknown city in the international travel scene, has nabbed the No. 4 spot thanks to its organized and reasonably priced public transport system, high quality of life, and excellent healthcare facilities.
High-speed internet and modern coworking spaces are abundant in the area, not to mention that there’s nothing better than finishing a long day of work just to go out and take in the views of the many local green spaces, including gorgeous little parks and waterfronts that make you feel like the lead of your very own movie.
3. Rotterdam, Netherlands
Known for its cutting-edge architecture and fascinating cultural scene, Rotterdam is sure to surpass even your biggest expectations.
While The Netherlands, as a whole, is a haven for active, young professionals, Rotterdam, in particular, boasts the kind of reasonable prices (a restaurant meal and a beer here only cost $15), a safe atmosphere, and a general quality of life that sets it apart from other destinations of its kind.

2. Olomouc, Czechia

A one-bedroom apartment just outside the city center usually costs around $440 a month, and with other prices following the same trend, you can safely assume that your money will go a long way in this criminally underrated European hotspot.

Topping today’s list is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a tiny but powerful country safely tucked between Germany, France, and Belgium.
While the capital has always been hailed as one of the world’s top diplomatic hubs, few know just how inviting the city is for digital nomads.
Those lucky enough to work from here will not only benefit from a great healthcare system and beautiful public spaces but will also be able to explore world-class attractions like the Palais Grand-Ducal, Cathédrale Notre-Dame, and Pont Adolphe.
