The words out! It’s no secret that Americans love everything about fall, and honestly, what’s not to love?! Leaf-peeping, should season, affordable prices, and an abundance of cozy things to do — fall is one of the best times of the year.

When you think of the colorful season, you think of photo-worthy foliage spots, Starbucks’ fall menu (yes, we all wait in anticipation), and pumpkins everywhere!

By tallying search rankings and various stats, Playstar took the hard work out of searching for the best fall spots in the U.S. and did it for us! The findings were based on the number of pumpkin patches, Starbucks, percentage of trees, and Instagram hashtags per capita to give us the top 3.

With 2567 Instagram hashtags, it’s no surprise that the charming city of Seattle made it in the top 3, and took the lead for the most photogenic city in the U.S. for fall! 🍂 ☕ 🪵

Rankings Don’t Lie

Let’s get honest for a second: who wouldn’t want to visit the most photogenic fall location? We’re all after the perfect insta-worthy image, and Seattle has more than few spots that are perfect for a snap.

A winner any time of the year, Pike Place Market is especially charming during the fall months. With seasonal goodies, warm drinks, and flowers, it’s definitely a top hit for those looking to capture Seattle’s fall in all its glory.

If you’re on the hunt for impeccable foliage and serene backdrops, look no further than Washington Park Arboretum. The subtle green and orange hues are absolutely stunning.

The University of Washington is also a stellar leaf location. Without having to venture too far, you’ll spot sights of red and orange during peak time. It’s also a nice area to see anyway — so grab a warm drink, stroll the campus, and see what you find!

Activities For All

“Creech aims to address this critical absence of Black history in his world premiere play, Last Drive to Dodge,” which will be shown at the Taproot Theater through October 21st!

Exhibitions. Stand-up comedy, live music, and SO MANY seasonal festivals, you’ll really have no shortage of activities to keep you on your toes during your stay! Find them all here.

Did Someone Say Road Trip?

It’s fall.. Why not kill two birds with one stone and venture to a few different fall stops while you’re in the area? Did you know that taking a road trip from Seattle to Vancouver is possible in as little as 2.5 hours?

Known for its wildlife and fall foliage, Vancouver is the ideal mini-trip to take from the city. While there is plenty to see in Seattle, it’s also nice to switch up the scenery and cross a few borders!

If Oktoberfest is your thing, then you HAVE to spend a day in Leavenworth. Famous for its quaint town, German influence, and buzzing Oktoberfest celebrations, it’s well worth the 2-hour road trip from Seattle.
