Maybe you have not actually BEEN to Vietnam!!! I am American and I live there. Vietnam is the trashiest country you will ever go to.! Of course, as with all countries, there are beautiful things here. Unfortunately, the truth is, this is a third world underdeveloped country, and it shows from the moment you arrive. Tourist sites are poorly developed and full of trash. I laughed when you talked about the legendary hospitality! Yes, there is cheap food and lots of cheap beer which are the principal reasons people come here. The over crowding of living situation AND tourist sites can never be understood until you come here.... Articles like your do not gell the truth about Vietnam.

@TikibTeader, Camboda is full of trash and litter too. Throw it in the weeds or water, leave it on the street, it becomes somebody (everybody) else's problem. Truly disgusting!
