Hilton, for example, expanded its network of high-end hotels in Mexico not too long ago, and three of these new openings were scattered across Quintana Roo’s biggest hotspots.
Similarly, three gorgeous resorts recently opened on Isla Mujeres, a stunning little island near Cancun that boasts the same idyllic views with none of the chaotic crowds.
Cancun itself also saw the opening of 12 new resorts, making it that much easier for travelers to find accommodation that’s tailored to their needs, budget, and location preferences simultaneously.
Foodies will also have the time of their lives in Quintana Roo.
The Grand Fiesta Americana in Cancun recently added three new restaurants to its all-inclusive chain, whereas Tulum is set to see more than ten new restaurants open their doors this early January.
If you’re looking for a more unique attraction to explore this winter, the Luchatitlán theme park in Cancun and the newly-opened Jaguar National Park in Tulum promise an unforgettable experience.
A Well-Connected Haven
Quintana Roo’s well-developed transportation infrastructure, including modern airports, highways, and, as of late, a state-of-the-art railway system, serves as the backbone of its ever-lasting tourism success.
The Much-Anticipated Maya Train
Now that the famous Maya Train is set to become fully operational within the first few months of 2024, travelers will be able to explore Mexico at a level of comfort and safety that was never deemed possible before.

Several major airlines, including Spirit, American, and Delta, have announced their plans to fly to the long-awaited Tulum airport come spring 2024.
