Las Vegas, Nevada

According to both Skyscanner and Kayak, Las Vegas is one of the cheapest destinations to choose from this summer. Unusual for a destination that is so consistently popular.

The average cost of a round-trip flight to Las Vegas is $315 according to Kayak, but flights from some airports are considerably cheaper. Round-trip flights from Chicago O’Hare can be found for $166 and from Phoenix for just $80.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Want to escape the U.S. for your vacation this summer? San Juan is one of the cheapest destinations to fly to outside of the continental United States, based on data from Skyscanner.

Non-stop flights are available in mid-July from just $133 per person, depending on your departure city.

San Juan is a beautiful city ideal for those travelers looking for close proximity to beaches and relaxation. It is also home to beautiful historical sites and attractions, such as the Castillo San Cristobal and the Cathedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista.

The temperatures can rise to 88°F (31°C) in San Juan during summer, making it the ideal vacation destination for sun-seekers.

Toronto, Canada

If you’re hoping to leave the country without traveling too far, why not head north?

According to Skyscanner, direct return flights to Toronto in July start from $161, depending on your departure airport.

The cheapest city to choose to fly from is Orlando, with flights from $161, followed by New York, with flights from $184.

You may think of Canada as a winter travel destination, but summer is actually the peak time to visit Toronto, thanks to the pleasant weather and abundance of outdoor activities.

Stroll through the Botanical gardens, climb the CN Tower, or take a boat ride to see the city from a completely different angle.

Niagara Falls is also just a short trip from Toronto: you can access it by car in just 90 minutes. Summer is the perfect time to tick this iconic attraction off your budget list.

Orlando, Florida
