January and February have many of us feeling quite claustrophobic, and travel is the perfect antidote for the cold and gray of the winter. 

The great news is you don’t have to spend a fortune to get to explore another country. 

It’s common knowledge that flight tickets account for a huge portion of any trip’s cost, which is why we’re sharing ten international destinations Americans fly to in February on the cheap. 

Priceline recently released February’s average round-trip ticket prices for flights from America to these destinations, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at their affordability.

San Salvador, El Salvador – $356 Average Round Trip

While this Central American country may not be as famous as the other destinations on this list, it has incredible nature, rich culture, and unique archaeological sites. 

El Salvador’s small size lends well to seeing a lot in a short time, and you can spend your visit hiking volcanoes, tasting top-notch coffee and local flavors, or visiting its fantastic beaches. 

San Salvador is a major cosmopolitan city with vibrant nightlife, a colorful art scene, and fewer tourists than many other Central American capitals.

None of these flights are cheap. I've flow RT to Athens Greece from IAD for less.

But if your travel desires don't extend beyond Latin America, the cheapest flights will be to Puerto Rico.

You can get there for $60 sometimes. Athough not technically not a country.

@Ran, So agree! Plus, El Salvador is a Level 3 “reconsider travel” on the US Travel advisories. Canada also has several warnings. It’s reckless to recommend travel to such places!
